THERE'S more than just a few truckin' events happening around the country.

Too many to mention in the available space, but here's some that are worth getting out there and being a part of if you have a spare day or even a couple of hours...

33rd annual Scale Model Show and Expo

LATE CHANGE OF VENUE

WAGGA Wagga and District Scale Model Club's 33rd Annual Scale Model Show, Expo and model competition is being held on the weekend of October 28-29.

It has moved venue to the Wagga Wagga Showgrounds at the corner of Bourke and Urana Sts, Wagga Wagga.

Categories include trucks, military, cars, sci-fi and more.

Open from 9am each day.

Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Day and Truck Show

HELD on October 29 at the Maitland Showgrounds, in Maitland NSW.

In its 23rd year, the Newcastle Hunter Transport Awareness Group is proud to present the 2017 Transport Awareness Day and Truck Show at the larger venue of the Maitland Showgrounds.

That ensures they can accommodate nationally recognised entertainment and performers, plenty of activities for the kids, lots of food options, market stalls and they have even more space for the trucks.

All funds raised will be used to invest in Transport Awareness in the community and to support local charities.

2017 Brisbane Convoy for Kids

IT'S getting closer to November 4, which is the Brisbane Convoy for Kids day for 2017.

The Convoy will head off for a 60km run from Johnson Rd, in Forest Lake on Brisbane's south-west from around 9.30am, across to the Redcliffe Showgrounds for a day of family entertainment. It's always a great day, and it's for a great cause; our kids.

Mullumbimby Truck Show 2017

It is being held at Mullumbimby in far northern New South Wales on Saturday. November 11. in conjunction with the 110th Mullumbimby Agricultural Show.

There will be a procession through the town starting from around 11am and running to the showgrounds.

36th Historic Commercial Vehicle Show - Historic Commercial Vehicles Club of Australia

THE 36th annual display is on and it's being held on Sunday, November 12, at the Yarra Glen Racecourse in Melbourne's north-east.

It's a big one day show that always has a display of really interesting trucks from yesteryear.

Admission is $10.00 and kids under 14 are free.

Gates open to the public 9am.

A little more for 2018

APART from the unmissable December holidays and New Year's Day celebrations, here's a couple of date claimers to get you ready for the next year.

January 13-14 are the dates for the Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show at the Geelong Showgrounds

February17-18 at Broadford in Victoria for the Highway 31 Spirit of the Hume truck display and celebratory dinner dance

March 17 at the Woolshed at Jondaryan (Qld) for the Oil Patch Reunion 2018

April 14-15 is the Crawlin' the Hume 2018 run from Campbellfield to Albury

April 21-22 are the dates for the Climbing the New England Route 15 Vintage Truck and Machinery Show at the Glen Innes Showgrounds.
