TOP TRUCKIN’ THINGS TO DO

1. Yesteryear Truck & Machinery Show

Where: Wauchope Showground, Wauchope, NSW

When: July 9-10

Featuring historic and late model working truck displays. Vintage cars, trucks, tractors, machinery, motorcycles, stationary engines. Market stalls, swap meet, family entertainment, something for everyone. Free entry for exhibitors, free camping for exhibitors (powered sites $20 per night). Swap/market Stalls $30 per weekend includes power.

Admission $7, children under 12 free. Saturday night, fully catered meal, unreserved charity auction with proceeds to local charities. Exhibitors set up on Friday, rally all weekend.

2. Gold Coast Truck Show

Where: Mudgeeraba Showgrounds - Exit 77 off the M1 Highway

When: August 21

A huge exhibition with everything on wheels. The Gold Coast Car Show, which includes the Truck Show, runs over two days and kicks off on the Saturday evening from 3pm with the Retro Rock n Shine Night.

A walk down memory lane showcases Retro Displays such as VW Bugs, Kombis, Hot Rods and Vintage Caravans. The Vintage Caravan Displays are a great attraction to the yesterday years of holidaying.

The Sunday Event sees hundreds of Show Cars converged at the Showgrounds, crowd-pleasers include Hot Rods, American Muscle Cars, Lamborghinis, Dragsters and more.

The Truck Arena always attracts a crowd with prime movers and trucks of every kind displaying amazing graphics, polished chrome and lights.

Trade stalls include all facets of auto industry, products, services, wares, rockabilly clothing, kustom kulture and novelty items.

Truck entry at Gate 3, Worongary Rd, from 6am on the day.

Public entry from 7am and children 12 and under enter for free.

3. Lowood Truck Show

Where: Lowood Show Grounds - Lindemans Road, Lowood, Qld

When: August 27

Established 2014 raising money for the Leukaemia Foundation this little town Truck Show is out to impress.

The show commences with a vehicle parade through Main St, Lowood at 11am.

Bikes, cars and trucks will be on display and over 30 trophies are up for grabs. It's a family event, with kids rides, trade and food stands, bar and entertainment.

This is a free event, but donations are welcome and all money raised goes to Buy a Bale, helping support Australia's rural communities and farmers.

This is a great charity event and one that is always a lot of fun.

4. Pacin' the Pacific

Where: Wauchope Yesteryear Truck & Machinery Club

When: October 1-2

Commencing at Beresfield, travelling sections of the old Pacific Highway, ending at Wauchope Showground.

Entry fee $45 per vehicle, all vehicles must be registered.

NSW vehicles over 30 years old, VIC vehicles over 25 years old.

All proceeds to Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

5. Deniliquin Truck Show & Industry Expo Inc

Where: Memorial Park, Deniliquin

When: September 10

The show will include a show and shine, industry information and technology, trade displays, bar facilities, catering, live music, children's entertainment and much more.

General admission $10, kids under 16 free. Plus $45 Wall of Fame dinner at Deniliquin RSL Club (phone the club for tickets on (03) 5881 1455).

6. Casino Truck Show

Where: Casino CBD, NSW

When: August 6

Plenty of blinged up trucks from all across Australia will be parked in town and the Scuzztrans Truck Street Parade kicks off from 10am at Johnston St and Centre St.

See the world's fastest truck bandag bullet and triple 8 race car carriers, which will sure be a highlight.

Expect live music by Kerry Kennedy & Double Barrel on stage at the Oxford Hotel. Lots of fun. Kids face painters. Food stalls. Markets. Amusement rides, and plenty more.

7. Kenworth DAF Melbourne Charity Truck Show

Where: Cnr Fitzgerald Road & Swann Drive, Derrimut, Vic

When: October 15

See the Show 'n' Shine, grab a bargain at the annual KDM pallet sale, and catch some live music.

Bring the kids along too, there will be plenty of activities to keep them busy.

The show runs from 8am to 2pm and there is a charity raffle with $5000 in prizes - tickets are just $5.
