Toowoomba bank branch set for six-figure renovation

ONE of Toowoomba's major bank branches is getting a six-figure renovation to its building.

Suncorp Bank's Duggan St office will be renovated to keep pace with the $500 million redevelopment of the Grand Central shopping centre.

McAdam and Turnbull Realty's commercial property agent Bronwyn Evans said new tenants will also be needed to fill the impending loss of Probuild, who are charged with building QIC.

"The outside of the building is being spruced up," she said.

"It's owned by the Raff Family and has been for many years.

"Suncorp are there, the people leaving are Probuild - they won't need (the offices) once the shopping centre is finished.

"The idea is Suncorp has been there for many years and now it's beside a nice new building, so this way it will remain new."

Mrs Evans said the agency had already received a number of enquiries from potential tenants about the upcoming spaces.

Other businesses at 3 Duggan St include Bell Potter Securities and Pioneer Accounting.
