Too early? City store already selling Christmas decorations
IT IS a debate had every year - when is too early to start selling Christmas decorations?
Is August too early? That's still four months until the jolly man in the red suit will pay us a visit.
Spotlight started selling Christmas decorations and craft supplies at the end of last month, with rows of red bows, jingle bell wreaths and tree decorations.
An isle is lined with red, gold and green with "Make it Merry" signage.

Halloween decorations are already being pushed aside for glittery balls, lights and tinsel.
Last year Target and Myer launched their Christmas collection in late September and The Chronicle asked readers if they thought that was too early.
In our reader poll 78 per cent of people agreed it was, while 22% of people were happy to start their Christmas shopping in early spring.
