Federal Police support Wear It Purple Day

Today's a great day to be wearing purple

IT'S Friday the 26th of August and that means it's a proud day to be wearing purple for a good cause.

Schools, workplaces and community groups have been donning their best purple outfits in the fight against bullying and discrimination against young sexually diverse people.

The organisation behind the day believes in "a world in which every young person can thrive, irrelevant of sex, sexuality or gender identity."

"Every young person is unique, important and worthy of love.

"No one should be subject to bullying, belittlement and invalidation."

Did you frock up in purple today?
