Best comic Flix in the mix for night in the stix

AS GUEST curator for tonight's Flix in the Stix, comedian, TV host and actor Julia Morris is looking forward to bringing her personal selection of the best comic films from around the globe to Coffs Harbour for the first time.

"The collection is jam-packed with award-winning shorts and more than half the collection is home-grown talent, but hey what can I say? Aussies are pretty awesome, so I am even more excited to bring this hilarious collection to regional Australians," Morris said.

Julia said Flix in the Stix 2014 would not just be the best night out in the bush; it would also be the funniest night in the bush.

"With this line-up Flix is going head-to-head with the metropolitan film festivals - I say bring it on townies," she said.

Although the full list of films won't be revealed until tonight, it is safe to say that Coffs Harbour patrons will love the festival - being held at the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden.

Flix in the Stix will showcase about 80 minutes of short films screened alongside live performances, including comedy exponents The Axis of Awesome and ARIA winners Eskimo Joe.

Patrons for the festival are well known actors John Howard and Damian Walshe-Howling.

Tickets are for sale online at Ticketek or Coffs Central Shopping Centre or at the gate from 6pm if not sold out prior.
