PARK RUN

When: Today, 7am.

Where: Lions Park, Charlton Esplanade, Urangan

What: It is a 5km run, it's you against the clock.

Cost: Free.

 

PIER UP-MARKET

When: Today, 7am-1pm.

Where: Pier Park, Urangan.

What: Enjoy live music and tasty offerings offered from the more than 30 food stalls. Take a look at crafts and fashion items for sale.

Cost: Free.

 

BACKYARD ADVENTURE

When: Today and tomorrow.

Where: Maryborough City Hall, Kent St, Maryborough.

What: Backyard Adventures explains how plants and insects work together to grow the food that's eaten. The exhibit's last day is Sunday.

 Cost: Tickets are $12 adult, $10 children from three up to 16 years, $34 for two adults and two children, $39 for two adults and three children.

 

ROCK'N'ROLL

When: Today, from 6pm.

Where: Isis Club, 46 Churchill St, Childers.

What: Pilot Light Productions presents an evening of rock'n'roll, with a show and meal. Get dressed in your favourite rock outfit.

Cost: Adults $25, children under 12, $10.

 

Sunday

 

RAMBLERS WALK

When: Tomorrow, 8.30am.

Where: ESA Park, Pt Vernon.

What: Come and join the Ramblers for a social stroll along Charlton Esp foreshore, followed by a chance to chat over a BYO morning tea.

This is a free event and visitors and newcomers to Hervey Bay are welcome to join in.

NIKENBAH MARKETS

When: Tomorrow, 6am.

Where: Hervey Bay Animal Refuge, Nikenbah.

What: Items for sale at these popular markets include arts and crafts, fresh produce, trash and treasure, cakes, jams and much more.

Cost: Free entry

 

SUNDAY IN THE PARK

 When: Tomorrow, from 9am until 1pm.

 Where: Queens Park, Sussex St, Maryborough.

 What: Enjoy the 2016's first Sunday in the Park, weather permitting. The Mary Ann steam train will run trackside and there will be face painting, jumping castles and food. The Excelsior City Band promises to keep the mood upbeat.

 Cost: $2 per ride, $10 for six rides.

 

MUSIC CONCERT

 When: Tomorrow. Doors open at 12.30pm for a 1pm start.

 Where: St Paul's Memorial Hall, 200 Adelaide St, Maryborough.

 What: Have fun with live music and tombola hosted by the Fraser Coast Crime Stoppers. There will be lucky door, raffles and afternoon tea. All musicians welcome to take the stage.

 Cost: Entry is $5.
