Thieves target elderly woman in double robbery

AN ELDERLY Roma resident was robbed while in her own home, and cash was stolen from another Roma residence in separate burglaries between April 1-3.
An unknown offender broke in to the elderly woman's Parker St residence, taking money from her purse while she was in another room.
In the second burglary, cash was stolen from a wallet after an unknown offender broke in to a Chrystal St home.
More than $300 was taken in total.
Police are continuing to investigate both cases, and are reminding residents to ensure they are locking doors, windows and vehicles.
