THE extension of the Helen Earley Ensemble was good news for sisters Zoe and Charlotte Sieders who will be given the chance to sing with their mum.

For the first time the ensemble will welcome primary school children into its ranks.

Director Helen Earley said this would complete the choir, which was affectionately known throughout Toowoomba and the Downs as Toowoomba's Family Choir.

"We are like one big happy family," she said.

"With this in mind and as a result of many enquiries we have decided to extend our family," she said.

The Helen Earley Ensemble will now include primary school aged children including (from left) Zoe Bright, Alice Earley, Lauren Bright, Charlotte Sieders, Zoe Sieders, Charlotte Earley, Sarah Carter, Abbigail Glasby, Zoe Henson and Mikayla Henson led by Helen Earley.

"We are inviting children to come along and embark on a unique fun-filled musical year," Ms Earley said.

Rehearsals for six to 12-year-olds interested in gaining confidence in stage craft, drama, rhythm, dance and movement will start on Thursday January 30, 5.30pm at the Laurel St Centre.
