The dead walk in Coffs Harbour

ZOMBIES have swarmed the streets of Coffs Harbour this afternoon for the first annual Zombie Walk.

Coinciding with Halloween, hundreds of Coffs Coast locals turned zombies descended on the Coffs Harbour Racecourse for some fun and games at 3pm this afternoon before starting their frightening walk to the Jetty and back to the Racecourse.

The scary crowd took to the streets at around 4.30pm with plenty of corpse brides, grim reapers and even a zombie Santa amongst the masses of zombies.

It's set to be a fun night with an outdoor screening of Night of the Living Dead and live music playing after the walk.

The event was a collaboration with Headspace, Haven MNC and other community support groups to raise awareness about mental health.
