Teen Fletcher Pilon wins Australia's Got Talent

CENTRAL Coast teen Fletcher Pilon has been crowned this year's Australia's Got Talent winner.

The result was determined by a snap five-minute vote after five finalists performed their audition songs one final time to show their growth during the series.

The 15-year-old sang an original song dedicated to his younger brother Banjo, who died in an accident at the age of 10.

"I'd just like to firstly thank my brother Banjo, my sister Gabby, my parents and friends at home," he said.

"It's been lots of fun. Oh I can't believe it."

The musical tribute brought judge Sophie Monk to tears and special guest judge Jack Black praised him as being brave for performing such a personal song on national TV.

The show's $250,000 grand prize will provide a big boost to Fletcher's music dreams. The talented teen has reportedly already been hand-picked by Cody Simpson to perform at his Australian concerts.

Rapper Nicki Minaj also shared Fletcher's story with her more than 42 million Facebook followers last month.
