Teddy bears come to visit at Centro Gympie

CENTRO Gympie is proving a Mecca for school children these holidays.

Following the lively X Box dance competition last week, the shopping centre has lined up Stufflers for a week long visit.

Taking up residency yesterday and in town until Friday, Stufflers allows shoppers to make their very own teddy bear that is the perfect keepsake or gift.

Centro Gympie marketing manager Anthony Mallett said it was the first time Stufflers had visited.

"We're told they are very popular so we're looking forward to allowing our shoppers the chance to make their own teddy bear," he said.

The teddy bears are fully customised, come with accessories, their own birth certificate and are limited only by their maker's imagination.

Mr Mallett said getting in early each day was encouraged.

The first 180 customers each day make a bear for a subsidised price of $6. From there, bears cost $11.

"The recommended retail price is $25, so this is great value," Mr Mallet said.

Stufflers will be in operation each day of this week between 9.30am and 4pm.
