Ted makes Nimbin (even more) famous

DAYS before the release of its latest film, Ted 2, the popular character posted a picture of itself in the streets of Nimbin on its Facebook page.

"So I made it to Nimbin. Something tells me I'll be staying a while," said the post.

The brief comment hit more than 21 million people who follow the marijuana-aficionado teddy bear on Facebook.

Many Australian  country towns only dream of such exposure online.

But then again, Nimbin is a unique place in the universe. And that is why we love it.

Many locals went online to voice their disappointment  about the obvious photoshop work done on an old photo of the main street of Nimbin.

If you happen to see Ted in the streets of Nimbin this week, please take a selfie with Ted and send it our way.

We would love to start a photo gallery of Ted visiting the Northern Rivers.

Ted 2 opens nationally on Thursday, June 25.

Ted 2 is rated MA 15+.
