TAYLOR Swift has emerged from months out of the spotlight to be a bridesmaid at her friend Abigail Anderson's wedding.

The ceremony was held on Saturday at Old Whaling Church in Martha's Vineyard, in the US state of Massachusetts, reports People.

Anderson, who has been Swift's friend for many years, married photographer Matt Lucier.

The bride wore a pink and white gown, Swift was a vision in a burgundy ensemble that highlighted her shoulders. She completed her look with matching lipstick and curled hair.

While the big day certainly belong to the couple, Swift's security asked onlookers "not to rush her," said one local outside the church.

TMZ reports a small group of fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Swift at Martha's Vineyard, but they booed her when she didn't stop to chat.

In February 2016, Swift was the maid of honour at her best friend Britany Mack's wedding.

While this weekend's wedding was a positive affair, Swift's recent song, Look What You Made Me Do, has reignited old feuds with the pop star.
