Tassie Truckin: Shane Cox

STOPPING over at Strahan for a (birthday) cuppa at the Coffee Shack the other day we were fortunate to catch up with Shane Cox from Devonport who was unloading pipes from Devonport for wharf reconstruction at Strahan.

Driving a Tasfreight 2015 FM Volvo he was towing a 40' triaxle trailer, and would be returning to Devonport via Tullah and then knock off for the day.

"I have been with Tasfreight for 11 years now,” he told us.

"And find them a great outfit with top bosses and a good crew to work with.

"We work Tasmania wide and there is a lot of variety here as well. Yesterday I was pumping tanks at Powranna and today here I am unloading pipes on the waterfront at Strahan! Prior to this I did factory work, and I don't have a single regret in the world about swapping for driving.”

Shane told us he spends his time off following speedway and caravanning, and joins us in wishing everyone the best of Christmases.
