Peter Bennell

DRIVING through Epping Forest recently we stopped off for a bite to eat and a cuppa at the Caltex Truckstop there, and were happy to catch up with Peter Bennell from Turners Beach there at the time.

Peter was driving his own "Forth Valley Haulage" 1992 K-100E (with 3.4 million km on the clock) and a 550 C-15 Cat up front and towing a Tautliner with seed potatoes from Spreyton to Mount Seymour.

He felt the company name was a natural as he actually lives right at the mouth of the Forth River at Turners Beach, and he has been running his own trucks for a couple of years, having driven for Bruce at RBA previously, and done a long time on the north island.

He enjoys operating his own business and says that all is going well just now, he is keeping busy and generally "keeping the dream alive".
