Tassie Truckin': Dallas Kotrba

PASSING through historic Campbelltown the other day, we caught up with Dallas Kotrba from Powranna when he pulled over to grab a quick bite to eat at the Breakfast Brunch and Lunch Cafe there, where he tells us they do great tucker.

He was driving his TAP Agrico 2015 460 CF Daf at the time and towing a Muldoon Blower trailer from Ireland with a load of stock feed.

"I'm on my way from Powranna to Gretna, and then back home again for more,” he told us.

"I've been doing this for 10 years now, it's a good arrangement, as I own the trucks and subbie for TAP Agrico.

"It all began years ago when I brought my own truck and started working for TAP, nowadays I handle the transport side for them, and it is all going really well.

"It was my best move ever, and I have no regrets at all, in fact I am really enjoying life.”

When asked how he spent his time off, he laughed.

"What time off? Apart from maintenance and all the usual transport stuff, my wife and I own a small hobby farm, and that fills every spare moment.”
