Taking others for a ride pays off with prize iPad

KORORA local Mark Adoms is now the lucky owner of a brand new iPad - thanks to Carpool Mid North Coast.

Mr Adoms went into the draw announced earlier this year when he signed up to become a member of Carpool Mid North Coast.

"Carpooling is such a great idea. It's free to register, easy to do, saves you money and you can help cut harmful greenhouse gases," Coffs Harbour Mayor, Cr Denise Knight said while she was presenting Mr Adoms with his prize.

Mr Adoms plans to donate his prize to a worthy cause.

Carpool Mid North Coast now has the NSW Carpool app which gives quick, easy and on-the-move access to the website.

The app is now also available on Windows 8 phones too, which makes the website fully accessible to most smart phone users.

The website helps match members with people taking the same journey, whether regularly or occasionally, and they share a vehicle which cuts the environmental and travel costs. Vehicles included in the scheme can use special priority car parking spaces for pick-ups and set-downs.

Anyone registering on the site is also eligible to win a $50 StarCash fuel card. There's already been 50 cards won in the past 12 months.
