Sword-wielding man arrested
A MORANBAH man has been arrested after police found him brandishing a samurai sword in the street.
Police were called to Bradman St about 10.15pm on Saturday night to reports of a disturbance, but when they arrived could not find anyone.
During patrols of the area police came across a 34-year-old intoxicated man who allegedly had in his possession a samurai sword.
Sergeant Adam Dyer said the man complied with police instruction and was arrested without incident.
The sword was confiscated and the man was charged with a Weapons Act offence.
He is due to appear in Moranbah Magistrates Court on April 10.
