Suspicious house fire in Chinchilla

UPDATE: FIREFIGHTERS are investigating a suspicious house fire at Chinchilla overnight.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency services spokesperson said two fire crews were called to the incident at 2.55am this morning.

Police said the house at Windmill Rd was severely damaged inside but was still standing.

They said the occupants of the house left the residence at midday on Christmas day and no one was at home at the time of the blaze.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and fire investigators are currently on scene.
