Surat auction cancelled

THE Surat Lions Auction, scheduled to be on Saturday, has been cancelled.

Organiser Wendy Newman said the weather looked too threatening to risk holding the auction.

"So reluctantly we have decided to cancel," she said.

"On the positive side, this gives people another month to sort out those items you would like to put up for sale."

The Surat Lions will be contacting all people who have listed items to ensure they have heard about the cancellation.

The auction will now be held on Saturday, July 7.
