Supporting the Ponting family

A CHARITY event will be held at Swifts Sports club this month to support the Ponting family of Goodna, following the loss of their six-year-old daughter Hayley to childhood cancer.

Bruce Raleigh from the Eastern Taipans Cricket Club arranged the event after Beaumont Trucking, the company that employs Hayley's father Fred, expressed concern about how the family is coping financially in the wake of their daughter's illness.

The event will be held on February 18 and will include guest speakers from the Brisbane Broncos and Queensland Cricket.

Anyone wishing to attend the event or contribute to the family can contact Bruce Raleigh on 0418 742 307.
