Sunny Coast Club backs charity for second year
TIME is running out to join one of the Sunshine Coast's most entertaining business hubs.
The Sunny Coast Club, an initiative of the Sunshine Coast Daily, is preparing to launch for its second year.
The venture is a members' club exclusively for businesses to provide networking, advertising and entertainment opportunities, all in one package.
However, after raising more than $17,000 for the community in 2016, the Sunny Coast Club has also proven to be a staunch supporter of the community too.
It's an achievement that was a major draw-card for Stewart Property licensee and director Vicki Stewart.
Vicki got involved with the club in its inaugural year, and was quick to join up again in 2017.
"I got involved because it's giving back to the community and there are charities involved,” she said.
"I just like to be involved in helping the community and it's a great networking opportunity and a chance to hear some great speakers too.”
Vicki has stepped up her involvement in 2017 to sponsor the Sunny Coast Club's first event in August.
As part of the sponsorship, Vicki has selected Australian Rotary Health as one of the beneficiaries of funds raised.
"It's promoting the conversation of mental health which is the biggest social issue that we face,” she said.
"We support the Sunny Coast Club and they support Australian Rotary Health, so it's a win win.”
The club's first event for 2017-18 will enlist the talents of internationally renowned entertainment correspondent Richard Reid.
Behind the Red Carpet of Hollywood with Richard Reid will be held on August 25.
For a number of years Mr Reid has dissected all the headline celebrity news from Hollywood, and has contributed to numerous TV shows and print publications.
During his career, Mr Reid has appeared on the Today Show and is the also the gossip guru for the Austereo Radio Network.
Mr Reid will dish out all the celebrity gossip and share some life experiences for the Sunny Coast Club's charity event.
