Story time held at Isaac libraries

THERE'S a feast for your senses at Isaac Libraries this Disability Action Week.

Join one of the special Story Time sessions from September 12 to 16 featuring braille text books, audio stories and sensory activities.

Mayor Anne Baker said children up to five years are invited to join in the sessions.

"The activities are designed to give children an insight into what it might be like living with a disability.

"They'll also give parents and caregivers an opportunity to talk with their children about disability awareness and inclusiveness.

"One in five Queenslanders has a disability, or has disability touch their lives in some way.

"The aim of the week is to empower people with disabilities, raise awareness of disability issues and to improve access and inclusion throughout our communities.”

Bookings for Story Time sessions are essential call 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227) or visit your local library to reserve your place.
