Stage nearly set for free Movie Masterpieces concert
PREPARATIONS for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra's free performance in Gladstone on Friday will begin at the marina stage tomorrow.
The orchestra will present Movie Masterpieces from 7pm.
The concert will feature some of the state's best classical musicians performing movie themes from blockbusters including Star Wars, Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.
Showcase mezzo-soprano Louise Dorsman will be there in the flesh alongside QSO soloists, concertmaster Warwick Adeney and principal tuba player Thomas Allely.
Students will get a preview of the concert at a schools show at 10am on Friday.
