ON FRIDAY August 12, video of an unidentified flying object was captured in the night sky over the Darling Downs.

Using the online handle UFOwatcher, a video was posted to Youtube of a bright image soaring through the sky, a couple of hundred kilometres west of Brisbane.

The camera was directed to the west, pointed at Venus and the Southern Cross, which are visible on the video.

A large bright object, which is reportedly travelling at a distance of 10-20km, is seen appearing from the bottom of the screen.

On the Youtube channel there are claims the same object was seen two days before.

Was it a spacecraft from an alien species or just a government issued satellite, watch the video and judge for yourself.
