Spotted: Land Rover tows 110 Tonne Road Train

EVERY driver has a story about an outlandish sight they have spotted while travelling on a remote track.

Yet nothing would quite compare to the scene 'The Travelling Teachers and Tribe' family came across while travelling home from Uluru.

It wasn't a mirage, a ghost town or a desert-walking mystic, it was a G&S transport truck equipped with seven trailers, being pulled by a Land Rover Discovery.

"We were on our way back from Uluru when we came across a crew filming a new Land Rover Discovery ad. It's not every day that you see a vehicle pulling a seven-trailer road train," the family explained in their online post of the feat, which has since gone viral.

"The producer said no social media for four weeks and we kept our promise. So two months later, here it is.

"Such an awesome thing to see and it was legitimately pulling it.

"The only reason I didn't get the take-off was because we were sitting there for so long waiting that we just missed it."

Landrover this week revealed the official video of the feat, which shows the new model towing the 110-tonne road-train.

The Discovery Sport's 3.0-litre turbo-diesel TD6 engine pulled the road train 16km at a top speak of 44km/hr

The footage has been viewed more than 158,000 times.
