WINTER has come to Australia, and the New South Wales Police Force are not here to pat dragons, they're about action.

With Game of Thrones Season 7 airing from 11am today, the police have taken the bold step of threatening the only people more despised than white-walkers, the spoilers.

Moments before the series airs, NSW Police Force broke out a generic police ticket threatening $250 fine for anyone who refuse to keep the secrets of Westeros.

The post has already whipped up 189 comments, mostly from fans who are warning "friends" not to ruin the show for them.

Some are tagging friends to warn that any spoilers and they'll be locked out of Foxtel.

Others are just shouting out to whole gaggles of people obviously notorious for ruining things.
