Moments before the series airs, NSW Police Force broke out a generic police ticket threatening $250 fine for anyone who refuse to keep the secrets of Westeros.

The post has already whipped up 189 comments, mostly from fans who are warning "friends" not to ruin the show for them.

Some are tagging friends to warn that any spoilers and they'll be locked out of Foxtel.

Others are just shouting out to whole gaggles of people obviously notorious for ruining things.

While NSW Police might be joking, we're totally OK if it's serious.

Fans know this season will be dark and full of spoilers, but the NSW Police may be the one to burn them all away.
