THE cheers of Marvel fans this morning began loudly with the second trailer for the upcoming Captain America: Civil War superhero flick, but descended quickly into argument.

The film will pit the popular heroes from The Avengers against one another, with Captain America forced to do battle with Robert Downey Jr's Ironman and others.

But the new trailer has divided the comic-book film loving community as fans were given their first look at Spiderman.

Spiderman shows up looking like he has arrived fresh from the computer graphics department, and his voice has the high pitch of a teenager.

To some, this was "the most comic book accurate Spider-Man I've seen in live action".

Others said it was like, "If Justin Bieber and Tobey Maguire had a baby, it would be this spiderman".

Spidey is being played by 19-year-old Tom Holland, and no doubt Marvel is hoping that his appearance will drive the hype for the as-yet-unnamed reboot due next year.

Most fans though -- at least those not neck-deep into the internet arguments -- are likely far more excited to see superheroes try to kill each other.

And if there was a Deadpool cameo, all the better.

(Thanks to Fox owning Deadpool and Marvel owning Captain America, there is almost no chance of this. Oh well)

Civil War is due to hit Australian cinemas on March 29.
