Spend govt money where it is needed

I see the first of the multi-million dollar advertising campaign by the Australian Electoral Commission has appeared as a full page ad in most newspapers including the QT(26/04).

The focus is to encourage people to understand that they have the power to decide their preferences.

That seems fair enough but to spend millions of dollars on this campaign with much more to come seems like a waste of our money. What does the AEC think we are-dimwitted?

As someone once said, 'Nobody's going to influence my vote. I'm going to read all the papers, listen to the speeches, examine all the literature, then draw my own confusions'.
