GET a taste of the "deep south" this Sunday afternoon at the Jacaranda Hotel courtesy of legendary US guitarist Bo Jenkins.

If you like your music authentic then Bo is not to be missed as he delivers a broad sample of Southern rockin'/rootsy, country, blues music to give it a name.

Jenkins' music reflects the richness of a life playing on the river boats and in the bars and clubs of the famous Mississippi Delta region which has bred musical legends including Sonny Boy Williamson, Elvis Presley and Charlie Rich.

Jenkins' shows benefit from years playing with all the greats from BB King to Reba McIntyre to name a few and his sets include everything from Ghost-riders in the Sky,to a Creedence melody, from Hank to Hendrix. He also throws in a few various originals from his own albums to prove he's no slouch when it comes to songwriting either.

For the guitar aficionados, Jenkins is a left handed upside down player, incorporating lots of impressive slide guitar into his performance with such assured deliveries it incites is has be known to incite jealously among the ranks "I'd like to break his fingers," Phil Emmuanel playfully threatened upon seeing Jenkins in action.

Bo has performed at most major music festivals including Byron Bay Blues & Roots, Gympie Muster and the Thredbo Blues Festival but you can catch him in the Clarence this weekend.
