SOUTH Korean Sunny Lee drives a Mitsubishi Canter truck for Cope Transport which is based at Edmonton just north of Cairns.
When Big Rigs spoke to Sunny it was soon after the death of North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
The 43-year-old Sunny was born at Jeongeup in South Korea, which is west of the capital Seoul and has been in Australia for 16 years.
Sunny said the road transport industry in South Korea was much different to Australia.
"It is a much smaller country and Australia is so vast and the people here are so beautiful and friendly," he said. Married to an Australian lady, Sunny has two girls aged, 10, and, 13, and really feels privileged to live in the Lucky Country.
"I really want to drive a big truck around this huge country and am a safe driver. That is my dream," he said.
Sunny said the Lee surname was very common in South Korea and also there were a lot of family members living Down Under.
"The joke in South Korea is that if you thrown a rock from a mountain one is bound to land near a Lee," he said.
