Skytrans flight plans good news

THERE was considerable good news for business people and the travelling public when officials from regional airline Skytrans yesterday announced plans to extend flight services to places such as Sydney, Roma and Gladstone.

For many Toowoomba residents, this is exciting news and a boon to those who want to do business associated with the mining boom in the Surat Basin and places further north.

Time is money in business and the opportunity to be able to travel to key areas makes sound economic sense.

An appeal by the Chamber of Commerce for Toowoomba residents to show support for the new services, in particular flights to Sydney, met with an overwhelming response and showed a high level of interest.

The fares will be at the higher end of the commercial rate, but savings in time, petrol, parking and accommodation costs when meeting connecting flights at Brisbane Airport, will offset the difference.

Toowoomba people must now support the airline which has chosen to support us.
