Sixties nostalgia on offer at Palmwoods

RELIVE memories or create some new ones when Palmwoods Memorial Hall Association hosts Snapshot of the Sixties on October 29.

The association is encouraging everyone to bring out the rope petticoats and full skirts, stovepipe trousers and thin ties to reminisce about the '60s.

Starting at 2pm, this free community event will help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the naming of the Sunshine Coast. An old-fashioned afternoon tea, some '60s music by the Palmwoods Singers Theatrical Society, and a free showing of the Australian movie Strictly Ballroom on the big screen are on the program.

BYO beanbags for an afternoon of fun and nostalgia.
