Should professional sportswomen get paid as much as men?

Professional female athletes should be paid the same as male athletes because their roles and requirements are the same when it comes to sport.

There is no distinction or difference between what they do or how they do it.

Their bodies still need to be tuned to perfection with strength, agility and grit.

Men and women both dedicate the same amount of hours to perfecting their skills and abilities and this needs to be reflected in their salaries.

The common denominator in wage differences is the media.

The media control the programming for sports viewing and therefore they are making a large contribution to the wage discrepancy.

However the public have the power to amend this by communicating to the media about their views on the matter and asking for more coverage of professional female athletes.

Ultimately there is control in the public to change the discrepancy in wages as this is not a new issue, but has been a fundamental discrepancy over the decades.

Vox Populi presents the voice of the people and it ultimately determines the difference in salaries.

In conclusion, yes men and women athletes should be paid the same salaries and there should be no distinction between genders.
