Shine up your rig for show
IF YOU like trucks then the 2019 Gold Coast Truck, Car and Bike Show is the place to be this August.
Trucks of all shapes, sizes and models will battle it out to win the Best Truck Award among a handful of others.
While the show is held on Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, the best day to see all things trucking is the Sunday.
GCCS event co-ordinator Kathryn Franklin said it was a great event for the whole family, with heaps to see and do.
She said those who wanted to enter their truck in the show had a variety of categories to choose from including Best Kenworth, Best Western Star, Best Mack, Best European, Best Peterbilt, Best International, Best Freightliner, Best Ford, Best Towie, Best Paint, Best Graphics, Best Bling and Best Fleet.
The show will also include displays of cars, bikes, 4WDs, retro caravans, clubs and charity groups as well as automotive industry trade, food and market stalls, a licensed bar, a mechanical bucking bull, giveaways and children's carnival rides.
The band Fat Albert will play centre stage and Hy-fidelity Dance will also perform.
Trucks enter on Sunday only with free entry for rigs 13 tonne and over.
Entry is from 6-9am at Gate 3 at the back of the Mudgeeraba Showgrounds on the corner of Mudgeeraba and Worongary Roads at Mudgeeraba.
Registrations for trucks close at 10am and trophy presentations will be from 12.45pm.
