Channel Seven tops ratings in regional television network

VIEWERS are keeping their dials tuned to Channel Seven - with the local station taking out this year's ratings.

Channel Seven is the most watched regional television network in the region, according to the Nielsen Television Audience Measurement Regional TAM.

Seven Central Queensland snagged the most viewers daily on 46.8% compared to WIN on 36.7% and Channel Ten on 16.5%.

The station not only scored top ratings overall, they are also leading in local news, as the most watch local news service across the audience demographics.

Seven's local news, which has been in the region for three years, topped weekday viewing habits at 6pm, with 58.5% of viewers tuning in.

Sales Manager Matthew Wex told The Morning Bulletin that it's had been an outstanding year for Seven Qld and more importantly Seven CQ. 

"These fantastic results show Seven's consistent drive to have the best show's on television ultimately attracts the biggest audiences," Mr Wex said.

Seven Central Queensland also dominates the most-watched series on TV in 2013, claiming nine programs in the top ten, including The X-Factor. and My Kitchen Rules.
