Young woman dies in crash on Bruce Highway at Elimbah

A 27-YEAR-old woman has died in a horrific crash at Elimbah, near Beerburrum, last night.

The woman, believed to be from north Queensland, was killed when the car she was a passenger in was struck on the Bruce Highway.

Another car and truck was involved in collision about 7.45pm.

The woman was rushed to Caboolture Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital

The male driver of the second car sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

The truck driver, a 34-year-old man, was not seriously injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
