ONE person is dead and seven others are injured after a horror crash on the Mt Lindsay Highway at Woodhill, north of Beaudesert.
Emergency services were called to the crash about 8am, which is understood to have involved seven vehicles included two trucks, several cars and a motorcycle.
Police confirmed one person died at the scene.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services had to free two people from the wreckage using the Jaws of Life. It is believed one of those trapped was a teenager with rib and chest pain.
Queensland Ambulance Service said six people were taken to hospital, all in a stable condition. A seventh patient was treated at the scene.
A teenage boy and a female in her 40s, who were initially trapped in their cars, were taken stable to the same hospital with chest injuries.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 60s were taken stable to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
A woman in her 50s with arm and leg pain did not need transport to hospital.
The highway remained closed in both directions at 11am between Undullah Road and Mahoney Road.
The Forensic Crash Unit was called to the crash site.
