Seniors’ ambassador helps Suncare reward its carers

SUNCARE Community Services held a lunch for its carers featuring an appearance by Ambassador for Ageing and Aussie TV favourite Noeline Brown last week.

The Maroochy Surf Club event gave about 100 carers the chance to network and listen to speakers on topics like ageing, disability, health and caring.

Suncare covers a large area from Rockhampton in the north, to Longreach in the west and south to areas including Caboolture, Pine Rivers and Toombul.

It was formed in 1970.

Ms Brown was also guest speaker at the U3A on Display event, showcasing the courses and activities on offer for seniors.
