IT WAS a double treat for fans of Masterchef in Salt last night.

Not only did Reuben Radonich, executive chef of Season restaurant at Peppers Resort, appear on the popular television show, but he also hosted a Tastes of Masterchef dinner at the restaurant.

Viewers of Australia's biggest show watched as Mr Radonich treated this year's remaining Masterchef contestants to a reward challenge lunch and a lesson in mud crabs in a pre-taped episode.

As the show hit TV screens, Mr Radonich was busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

Masterchef will return to the restaurant next month when last year's series winner Adam Leow hosts a dinner.

Mr Leow will join Mr Radonich for an Asian fusion four-course meal specialising in local produce on June 10.
