Seafood girl plates up intimate dining event at Vic Tavern

SHE'S used to the heat in the Masterchef kitchen, but today, Rachael Ciesiolka is swapping it for Rockhampton's Victoria Tavern.

The so-called "seafood girl" is whipping up an exclusive menu for an intimate event hosted by the local pub, and will also be coming out between courses to talk about her recipes and methods.

The main course will be a variation of her famous crab dish.

"It will be an evening which will tempt the tastebuds," Rachael said.

The North Rockhampton State High School graduate is in town visiting family until Wednesday.

She appeared on season six of Masterchef and has since started her own gourmet catering business, Cook's Night Off. Each dish on the menu Rachael is preparing will be complimented by drinks from Treasury Wine and Diageo, which produces some of the world's leading alcohol brands.

The event is being held on the top floor of the Victoria Tavern tonight.

Only 60 tickets are being offered for the night, so to book contact the Victoria Tavern on 49223869.
