Mackay's Sarah fouled out by raw chicken dish in Masterchef
MACKAY'S MasterChef Sarah Todd has been eliminated from the show.
Ms Todd bowed out of last night's episode after failing to cook her chicken roulade properly, meaning it could not be presented for tasting.
It was a shock exit for Ms Todd, who has been one of the favourites throughout this year's competition.
Ms Todd said her time on the show had been an amazing experience.
"I just can't believe how much you actually learn going through the competition," she said.
Ms Todd said the best thing about the competition was being surrounded by amazing chefs. She also let slip that her favourite person left on the show was Kira Westwick.
The former model said she would love to have stayed longer but it had been good to leave and see her family.
"For me it was bittersweet," she said.
The support from Mackay had been incredible, Ms Todd said.
"I had no idea that I would have that much support from Mackay, everyone has been amazing" she said.
"My mum sent me a beautiful postcard with lots of comments from everybody."
Despite being out of the show Ms Todd said her food dream was still well and truly alive.
"Ultimately I'd love to have my own restaurant, Indian-inspired," she said.
"I just want to keep getting experience and growing, get into some restaurants and do the hard yards to get all the tools I need."
Ms Todd has launched her own food blog, http://www.sarahtodd.com.au, which showcases the style of food she loves.
"I just want to keep going with the momentum, it just gets more exciting each day. MasterChef has kind of just opened up a box of amazing things," she said.
