EVER wanted to know how to cook a MasterChef dessert? Macaroon maestro Adriano Zumbo will be a special guest at the fifth Sample Food Festival.

The chef will add a celebrity flair to the event this year, offering cooking demonstrations at the festival.

Fans of good food will also be able to sample the local region's best food and produce on offer, with festival director Remy Tancred seeing it as a one-stop shop.

"It is a chance for visitors to speak to farmers direct and sample our incredible local cuisine," she said.

The event will be held at Bangalow Showgrounds on September 5 with tasting plates from $5 and $10. Entry is $5.

Tickets are also on sale for The Producer and The Chef to be held on Friday, September 4. The lunch, prepared by a team of leading chefs, will be served under the marquee at the showground.
