Rugby Coight doubles entertain Brisbane visitors

THE world's best rugby teams landed in Brisbane in February for a blockbuster weekend of world class rugby at the inaugural Brisbane Global Rugby Tens.

The sold-out event featured a star-studded line-up of 14 teams from all over the world, including famed French team Toulon making its Australian debut.

Suncorp Stadium became Celebration Central with a line-up of party stations, Cool Zones and DJ areas to support the world class rugby action on the field.

Ten Australian and New Zealand Super Rugby clubs and four elite invitational teams including Toulon, the Blue Bulls, Samoa and the Panasonic Wild Knights competed in 28 matches over the two days - all up, 16 hours of compelling live rugby signalling the beginning of the Super Rugby season.

Twenty rugby fans dressed as Russel Coights arrived at Suncorp Stadium just before the event brining even more colour and a good laugh for all the visitors.

To be held annually, the event is sanctioned by the Australian Rugby Union and New Zealand Rugby and is broadcast live across Australia, New Zealand, UK, Japan, Africa, France and other major international markets.
