Testing of Roma and Mitchell's digital TV channels begins next month.

Roma and Mitchell go digital

SOUTHERN Cross Television (Channel Seven affiliate), Imparja Television (Nine affiliate) and Central Digital Television (Ten affiliate) will begin fulltime Digital Television transmission in Roma and Mitchell on Tuesday October 9 with testing during the four weeks prior.

Pete Basmadjian from Western TV said analog viewers still had another 12 months to switch over as the analog signal will not be switched off until December 2013.

During the test period the new digital services may be

interrupted from time to time. These transmissions will be conducted as follows:-

Coverage Area: Roma

Imparja Television:

Channel: UHF 36 (585.500 - MHz)

Central Digital Television:

Channel: UHF 38 (599.500 - MHz)

Southern Cross Television

Channel: UHF 34 (571.500 - MHz)

Coverage Area: Mitchell

Imparja Television:

Channel: UHF 31 (550.5 - MHz)

Central Digital Television:

Channel: UHF 33 (564.5 - MHz)

Southern Cross Television

Channel: UHF 35 (578.5 - MHz)
