Rockhampton Cultural Festival is coming up fast

PAIR music and dancing with food from all over the globe, and you will find yourself at the 2015 Rockhampton Cultural Festival.

The Festival, held at the Heritage Village on Sunday  August 30, will feature a parade of nations.

Festival goers can tempt their tastebuds with a wide variety of delicious food, cooked by local members of the international community, or sit back and relax with live music and dance from far-away places.

Children are encouraged to get their Cultural Festival 'passport' stamped at various locations at the festival.

Chair of Rockhampton Regional Council's Communities Committee, Cr Rose Swadling, said Rockhampton Region was home to many unique cultures.

"The Cultural Festival is the opportunity for everyone to celebrate our multicultural society and experience first hand the diverse cultures and customs that make up Rockhampton Region today, and I encourage everyone to take part," she said.

The Cultural Festival will be held from 11am to 4pm, entry is $2.
