REVEALED: Suburbs where you’re least likely to be robbed

BOKARINA, Burnside, Kuluin, Meridan Plains and Pacific Paradise are among 14 suburbs with the lowest rates of robberies on the Sunshine Coast in the past 10 years.

Queensland Police Service crime data reveals that of the 541 robberies to have occurred on the Sunshine Coast since May 11 2006, one has taken place in each of those suburbs, along with Bald Knob, Cooroibah, Glenview, Kuluin, Kunda Park, Mapleton, Palmwoods, Shelly Beach Sunrise Beach and Twin Waters.

The suburbs with the highest rates of robberies were Maroochydore (109), Mooloolaba (49), Caloundra (46) and Nambour (43).

Nearly 5000 robberies were recorded in Brisbane suburbs in the same period, while Bundaberg had 165, Harvey Bay 160, Maryborough 85 and Gympie 55.
