REVEALED: How Mackay job agencies stack up
MACKAY'S 15 Jobactive providers have been judged by the Department of Employment - and a few of them aren't doing very well.
Five of the 15 scored the lowest possible "star rating" which is one out of five (where one is the lowest and five is the best). Just two agencies scored a five.
Two providers, MAX Employment Mount Pleasant and Max Employment Sarina were given the lowest possible rating, one out of five, for the third consecutive quarter.
The Government separates jobseekers into three categories, called streams, depending on how likely they are to find work. It also rated how the agencies went finding these jobseekers work.
MAX Employment Mount Pleasant scored a one across all three categories for three quarters in a row.
The best jobactive providers in the region were CoAct Proserpine, CoAct Cannonvale, NEATO Bowen and NEATO Cannonvale which all scored an overall 5.
CoAct Proserpine scored a five across all three streams while the others had a mixture of scores within the streams.
None of the providers scored a four and two scored a three; they were MAX Employment Cannonvale and NEATO Sarina.
Four scored a two - CoAct Bowen, MAX Employment Bowen, NEAT Mount Pleasant and NEATO Moranbah.
Therefore, going off the ratings, it would appear the best chance of finding a job through a jobactive provider if you lived in Mackay would be go to through NEATO Mount Pleasant, which has a rating of two.
The best rated provider in Sarina was NEATO with a rating of three, Bowen was NEATO as well with a rating of five.
And Proserpine has only one service provider but it is a good one, with a rating of five.
