A COOWONGA resident wrote a letter to the editor this week, talking about the impact of the television retuning for her home.

Julie Davies wrote: " I live in a marginal area for digital TV reception, but I've always been able to get most channels.

"After the frequency was changed on some channels, I still had the other HD channels until I retuned as advised."

The Bulletin asked readers via Facebook: How is your television after the retuning?

Mellissa Butterfield - Are you serious? You can publish a story about retuning TV but not about my dangerous car. Shame on TMB.

Amanda Marshall - We've lost everything bar 7 since the tune. Having to pay someone to come adjust antenna and see if that helps. Not just the marginal areas as we're in Wandal.

Trish Neeson - I can't get any of the 9 or ABC channels since the retune. I am also in Wandal.

Sandi Rundle - We're in Cawarral and have the same issue. No channels at all since last Wednesday. When we called the help line we were told the same thing and advised to go out and buy a new booster.

Candice Martin - Yeah, no good, lost channels past Yaamba. Sucks, can't watch the footy anymore.

Kylie Kj Ramsay - Terrible, was bad before, but now we're lucky to get one channel to work. We retune at least three times a day hoping for improvement, but in the end it's just going to cost us more money.

Marie Lockwood - I live in Gracemere. Had no problems before (with a booster). Now my channels take turns as to which ones are going to work! Why?

Joanne Coulter - Much better than before. Got channels I never had before and that is with an internal aerial.

Margaret Balchin - What new channels did you get as I retuned mine and do not have any new ones? So I was wondering what new channels you have so I can see if I need to retune again?

Joanne Coulter - I couldn't get Gem Central Qld and others in that group and some of the ABC. As I said before I only have an interior aerial, so it is not a case of never being able to get here in Rocky... just means that the new frequency allows a cheap internal aerial to pick them up and I don't have to spend a heap of money.
